Ann Curry
Ann Curry is an American photographer and journalist. She has been a reporter for more than 45 years, focusing on human suffering in areas of conflict and natural disasters. Curry has covered wars throughout the world, including in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry is an American journalist, news anchor on television and journalist who was born on the 26th of June 1956. Curry's maternal grandmother is Japanese and her father was an American Navy sailor. She met her mother while living with her father in Japan following World War II. In 1978, she graduated from in the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She was the only female reporter of the station's history at age 22. Then she was promoted to the post of anchor and reporter at KGW which was an NBC affiliate in Portland, Oregan. When she moved to Los Angeles, she became an anchor and reporter for KCBS TV within four years of making the move to the city. During her six-year association with the station, she received two Emmy Awards.
